(Event Report) Dialogue with Health Policy Leaders from around Asia (Young Leader’s Program, Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine)

On June 24, Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI) hosted a policy dialogue in collaboration with Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine’s Young Leaders’ Program (YLP).* The program’s 11 participants met with HGPI staff to discuss various topics health policy.
During the event, HGPI staff provided an overview of HGPI’s work and led a discussion about health policy in Japan, health policy issues, and Japan’s role in global health. The questions and comments from the participants made for a very interesting and valuable session. Participants in the Young Leaders’ Program, high-level health policy leaders of their respective countries, represented nine countries including Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Cambodia, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Myanmar, Bangladesh, and Mongolia.

These leaders include government officials and other young professionals who have exhibited leadership potential in the field of health policy.
