“Addressing Dementia through Integrated Science”
Dementia is not an issue that is limited to Japan, but is increasingly becoming an issue around the world. The world is looking to Japan to develop approaches to address dementia that extend beyond treatment, care, and pharmaceuticals to include innovative approaches, such as robotics, that utilize new technology in services like big data analysis and caregiving service strengthening.
In this session, Kiyoshi Kurokawa, Member of the G7 World Dementia Council, along with Kenji Toba, President of The National Center for Geriatrics and Gerontology, discussed global approaches to dementia and share recent developments in the prevention, treatment, care, and research of dementia.
