Eri Yoshimura, Senior Manager at the Health and Global Policy Institute, gave a lecture entitled, “Patient Voices in Health Policy Advocacy: Current Status and Issues.” Due to COVID-19 safety measures, the symposium was held virtually.
Ms. Yoshimura introduced past efforts by HGPI and NCD Alliance Japan in relation to cancer, cardiovascular disease, and dementia. The presentation focused on the importance of patients and other relevant parties lobbying for policies based on their collective experiences both in and outside of Japan.
